Concert stampede kills three college girls in Lahore

LAHORE: Three female students were crushed to death and many others injured in a stampede after a musical concert at the Alhamra Cultural Complex, Gaddafi Stadium, on Monday night.

The concert was organised by the Punjab Group of Colleges for students of different campuses and over 5,000 students attended the event. However, an official of the Alhamra Cultural Complex, seeking anonymity, said the venue was packed with over 7,000 students, which was almost double the capacity of the venue. Annie Khalid`s Successful Punjab Group Of Colleges Tour

Annie Khalid performed for thousands of fans on her tour of The Punjab Group of Colleges last 2 months. The tour started from Multan on the 23rd of Oct. 2011 and so far the artist has performed for the Punjab Colleges in Rahim Yar Khan, Multan, Gujrat, Bhawalpur, Gujranwala, Islamabad and Rawalpindi. Pakistan`s top rock band ROXEN`s frontman Mustafa Zahid has been roped in by the Pakistani entertainment channel Tv One to host a musical game show.Band manager Faisal Khan confirmed the news saying Mustafa is in Karachi doing the shoots these days and the show will go on air with the name ‘Gaata rahay mera Dil’ from 1st January,2012 every sunday 9 to 11pm.
With the amount of popularity Mustafa Zahid has among youth it surely will be a great treat for all the youngsters and a chance to prove their own talent as well.
