The Besharam act continues. On August 19, TOI had reported that Abhinav Kashyap’s upcoming film’s ‘Love Ki Ghanti’, which is already climbing the charts, was a copy of the Italian number ‘Bella Ciao’.

Composer Lalit Pandit had shrugged it away as mere ‘inspiration’ then. But he has been found second-time guilty of the same offence. It has now come to light that one of the love songs in the film is inspired by a Pakistan number.

“Abhijeet and Shreya Ghoshal have sung this number in the film which is titled Dil Ka Jo Haal Hai. Incidentally, there are major portions of the song which are exactly the same as NaKar Deewana, a chartbuster track by Pakistani band Roxen,” said a source in the music industry.

Ironically, the song has been heard earlier too in a Mahesh Bhatt film Awarapan with different lyrics that went as Tera Mera Rishta. Back then, rights were procured before Pritam rearranged the number to go with Emraan Hashmi’s image. The song was a huge hit and Roxen too earned some popularity in India.

“Though Dil Ka Jo Haal Hai starts off differently, it reaches its crescendo with the sound that is straight in line withNa Kar Deewana,” the source adds. Interestingly, the lyrics too remind one of Aamir Khan’s Jo Haal Dil Ka, which was composed by Lalit himself along with Jatin.
